Siobhan O'Connell
Physiotherapist
Siobhan is a graduate in Physiotherapy from University College Dublin, Ireland, 1979. In 1982 when she moved to Vancouver, Siobhan wanted to experience the full spectrum of hospital medicine. She fulfilled this goal while working first at Vancouver General Hospital, and later at Lions Gate Hospital.
Specializing in postgraduate orthopedic medicine and sport injuries Siobhan has cultivated an integrated private practice with certifications in traditional manual therapy, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, acupuncture, clinical counseling, meditation and her passion, Pilates based rehabilitation exercise.
Siobhan was introduced to Jenn Hewlett and the Fresh Air Life philosophy a year ago and is thrilled to integrate this smart, holistic work into her physiotherapy practice. “Nordic pole walking is such a natural yet scientific progression from ‘in clinic’ therapy to real life, outdoor based, dynamic core fitness for my patients - especially those having treatment for spine, hip, knee and foot issues. The poles are a fantastic addition to upper body strength and posture correction. Taking their rehab out of the clinic to the magnificent trails of the North Shore under Jenn’s expert supervision gives my patients a fresh, fun and social dimension to their rehabilitation and fitness.” Siobhan says. “I have felt such a difference in my own body and its injuries, and am so excited to share that with my patients.”
Siobhan’s open, light filled 4000 sq ft clinic, Trimetrics Physiotherapy Clinical Pilates and Complimentary Health Clinic is located at 307–850 Harbourside Drive in North Vancouver. A Physician’s referral is not required and most services are covered by Extended Health Benefit Plans.

Testimonials:
"I saw Siobhan for a second opinion regarding chronic foot pain which was seriously interfering with my hiking and walking programme. Siobhan was able to determine that I could relieve this discomfort by engaging different muscle groups. I worked with one her team members on a weekly basis to achieve this goal. With my newly engaged muscles I was able to hike for many hours a day in Italy without discomfort or pain."

"Siobhan at Trimetrics is the best physiotherapist I have ever consulted with. In addition to being approachable, extremely knowledgeable and professional, she has a wonderful sense of humour! She really gave me her undivided attention during each appointment, and in addition to any treatment required, she ensured I was doing my assigned exercises and stretches correctly. Thanks to Siobhan, I quickly recovered from a shoulder injury which had persisted for several months. I highly recommend Siobhan at Trimetrics Physiotherapy."
