Hello Ladies - WOW - the overnight snowfall and the snowfall warning for Vancouver all day has forced me to cancel the snowshoe program today.  Many of our gals do drive a distance to see us and the roads will be busy and challenging!  Jenn will be away now until March 12th - have a wondertime time in this winter weather.  May you all have a few snowshoe blue days when I am away -  I will be thinking of you all as I paddleboard in the warm waters of the Hawaiian Islands - Hang Ten!  Jenn - xo

A low pressure system currently over the BC coast will continue to spread
snow over Whistler and Central Coast - inland sections tonight. Additional
snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 centimetres are expected tonight. Snow will taper
off to a few flurries overnight over Whistler but will continue over Central
Coast - inland sections on Saturday with another 5 to 10 centimetres expected.
Meanwhile, the low pressure system will move eastward and inland tonight. In the
wake of the low west or northwesterly winds of up to 80 km/h will develop
overnight over Greater Victoria, Metro Vancouver, Southern Gulf Islands, east
and West Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast. The winds are forecast to ease
Saturday afternoon as the system moves further inland and weakens
.

Picture

Looking forward to a snowshoe blue day in fresh powder conditions as the wonderful Wednesday team heads to 1st peak together.

This hike will be a longer journey- please set aside 3 hours for the round trip as the snow will be deep and heavy.  Jenn suggests that you bring water and a snack or lunch. There will be many kodak moments this week - be sure to bring a big smile and good hair!!!

Jenn will meet you alll at her place - 1522 Norton Court at 9:00am and we can shuttle up from here.  In the unlikely event of rain the group will hike in this area.  Snowshoes are recommended for this event.

Please note there are no dogs on the trails tomorrow!!

Looking forward to a great fresh air day together,

Jenn/Jill
